Yeah, definitely the cat's cuteness. It's only pure chance she's blankly staring into the distance on an opium bed.

I'm pretty sure you're wrong, but not certain. It looks to me like she's on an opium bed. Opium was pretty common back in the day. She's probably just in bliss out of her mind on opium.
