MODERATORS
It's more that it shows the idiocy of the current government.
All those new plants will need foreign workers. Farmers need foreign workers. Big city delis need foreign workers.
But they're dead set on making the USA dangerous for foreigners.
Well... They can go suck a $10 egg.
They don't need foreign workers, just wage slavery... Or better yet just slavery.
All they need to do is expand the law that makes it legal to use inmates as slaves.
Edit: I know that it's happening already. That's in the second half of my comment? Is my english that bad? The key word is expand!
Those Korean workers in that factory under construction were knowledge workers. Good luck getting a battery factory up and running with random bunch of inmates.
I think that already exists. Companies in some states can hire inmates to work for 10s of cents to a few dollars an hour. That is basically slavery wages
That's the prison industrial complex. Legal slavery.
He knows.
I know.
Some prisons force workers to work at fast food places my dude
What happens if prisoners refuse to work?
You lose privileges and won’t be able to afford basic necessities like toothpaste or toilet paper.
That's dystopian as fuck.
Note to self: Don't let the cops take you alive.
Capitalism + Slavery = American prison system
I know.
They can already use minors for unpaid labor that way. And I don't mean community service.
Uh, that already exists. A large part of “Made in USA” is slave prison labour.
I know...
That law is the US constitution.
I know.
