Yes i disagree as prior fan. But what were you missing because there are a few similarities to three houses. Some reference to the monetary system or the three houses you able to choose from. I would asume we haven seen muss from the overworld gameplay of this new game
There are two things I've disliked.
For once, I prefer the more grounded aesthetic of Three Houses. The evil demon sword looking guy in the trailer just reeks of generic writing. Could be wrong, of course, but didn't create any good first impressions.
The other thing is the missing focus on any monastery. Slowly socializing with and training students was what I've actually enjoyed. I'm not much of an FE guy otherwise, since I don't like two of its core combat mechanics: permadeath and breaking weapons. Modern games tend to build around these features specifically, but then it feels shallow compared to other SRPGs. At least Three Houses did. The trailer was mostly about combat.
Completly fair opinion of course. I just want to say something about the aesthetic. The Fire Emblem Team always works with different artists for their game (sometimes for two games). Of course there is Engage with very colourful aesthetic which is for sure controvertial if you like it or not. An maybe the fan favorite Shadow of Valentia. It's not surprising that some are more liked that other, but i like that it almost always looks different.
