Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.
The rules are simple:
- The post can be a single image, an image gallery, or a link to a specific comic hosted on another site (the author's website, for instance).
- The comic must be a complete story.
- If it is an external link, it must be to a specific story, not to the root of the site.
- You may post comics from others or your own.
- If you are posting a comic of your own, a maximum of one per week is allowed (I know, your comics are great, but this rule helps avoid spam).
- The comic can be in any language, but if it's not in English, OP must include an English translation in the post's 'body' field (note: you don't need to select a specific language when posting a comic).
- Politeness.
- AI-generated comics aren't allowed.
- Adult content is not allowed. This community aims to be fun for people of all ages.

That cartoon is copyrighted 2015? I thought Ziggy was a cartoon from the early 1980s 🤔
I thought the same thing.
I was like “there were Ziggy cartoons in 2015?!” But yep, Ziggy is apparently still ongoing.
The most recent one is also about airplanes. “We’ve upgraded you to early deplaning, here’s your parachute!”
Wow so the animation is really from 2015? It even looks ancient and aged, circa 1980s. And wouldn't it be in poor taste for any syndicated humor comic to make 9/11 jokes?
Yep, it’s actually from 2015! The artist is the original Ziggy artist’s son (literally Tom Wilson and Tom Wilson II), so I’m sure he intentionally references the old art style.
I think this is more of a general plane crash joke than a 9/11 joke. It’s not specific about where the plane is going and lots of plane crashes happened between September 11, 2001 and November 27, 2015 (when the comic was published).
I’d be surprised if Ziggy didn’t make pretty much the same joke in the 1970s-1980s!
