If you love your country, why did you vote for Trump?
If you "love your country", then you're most likely fash. Thus trump.
Absolutely nothing surprising there.
American patriotism has always been problematic enough to be at risk of developing into fascism.
Why would pledging allegiance to any one nation state be more important than treating people with dignity?
Its small minded thinking and Americans have been drinking this Kool Aid for generations.
Democrats seem so feckless because they're constantly on their backfoot trying to prove they love their country too.
Who can love their nation more than a fascist? Someone who's willing to turn their nation into a killing machine that massacres perceived outgroups?
Of course, love for your nation doesn't have to mean that but America has been embracing that worldview of patriotism at an accelerated pace since 9/11. So here we are.
You know its bad when even the morally slightly better party is tripping over itself to bankroll genocide.
Well remember yesterday when Trump said smart people don’t like him?
It's always fun to see how close he sometimes gets to an epiphany. But it's always from the wrong direction as it were.
