What is a Tankie?

Basic Rules:

Tankies can explain their views but may be criticised or attacked for them. Any slight infraction on the rules above will immediately earn a warning and possibly a ban.

MODERATORS
The entire lemmy framework that we’re all using is an allegedly also a propaganda engine. The people who created this are supposedly in denial about tianenmen square, tried to spell it from memory, so what The fuck am I doing here. I oppose china and the U.S. and the various genocides.

I wouldn't go that far the source code is verifiable and while there have been some...very questionable architectural decisions (Making the modlog less transparent, making the voting system less robust etc), it's mostly all good.
We can never be truly sure that the version running on .ml is the same version built from the publicly available source or something like a private custom version
