I appreciate that they make this distinction. Nobody knows for certain, and making claims about this person's affiliation feels...pointless. At this point, they will say he's whatever they want him to be. Whatever fits their agenda. We can see it go both ways.
In my opinion, many people(not all) seem to be missing the point. These incidents will continue as people feel that their voices are not being heard as political violence increases from the government and their supporters.
It creates a negative feedback loop where the allies of authoritarians spread misinfo/hate -> the regime comits political violence and will not stop with words, debate, protest -> people commit violent acts -> authoritarians use it to dig in deeper.
Idk that's my ramblings, at least.
