Remember kids, the midterms are only a year away. If your Democrat is on this list, you need to find a new one!

We will once again be faced with (a) More Trump or (b) ???

Third-partiers, clock is running out!

Third parties are irrelevant. They have failed continuously for over a hundred years. How is someone going to build an effective 50 state organization, find and vet candidates that won't betray us in office, raise awareness with absolutely no old media coverage and social media that buries them, then win an election in 14 months? There are some solid progressives running in Democratic primaries, and they are the ones that need resources.

Honestly im not sure we need a 50 state org for a third party rep or senator to succeed. President, yeah i see it.

Hard agree with the primaries though. Thats when we get to fight for values and not just against assholes (thanks first past the post).

At least Bernie's been pretty successful. Theoretically someone could also run on populist policies like his and succeed as 3rd party.

[–] Tinidril@midwest.social 4 points 2 days ago (1 children)

No, they couldn't. Bernie knew that. There are too many loyal Democratic voters. It would just hand the election to the Republican.

We're talking about midterms, not president. There's no reason Bernie has been successful that bars others from doing the same.

The absolute state of the seppo voter...
