Of that million most are Ukraines casualties. And that war has remarkably low civilian casualty rates, Russia is not to keen on massacering civilians and Ukraine is more and more lacking the capability to do so.
Meanwhile in Gaza the dead are overwhelmingly civlian, Israel goes out of its way to create maximal suffering for the people there and does not remotely hide its intention of wanting to colonize the place.
I wouldn't say that Russia isn't keen on massacring civilians, thats basically what it does with the nightly shahed drone and missile attacks on civilian targets.. And i have yet to have heard about Ukraine attacking civilians, but maybe you have sources on that? I have only seen them attacking military and economic targets in Russia

According to both Russia and the west, 1 million Russians have died. 100% with you about Gaza. I see the power dynamic differences and I see Israels openness regarding ethnic cleansing and colonization. But being quite about intentions to colonize doesn't make it less insidious.
So according to Russia, they had 1 million losses? Please provide a source because that would be more than weird, not too long ago credible evidence pointed to less than a tenth of that...
To be completely honest I don't know what I viable source would be. I for sure do not have it from the horses mouth the way I thought I did. I know that I read that number on RT, however, it looks to me like RT might have been running a story from a British source because when I look now I see this one. And unless it's coming from an officers mouth it's gonna be hard to defend as a source.

Could you explain in depth what do you mean here? Are you referring to Russia?
No no, I mean just because Ukraine never stated they were "this thing" That joining a western cause is by extension a colonial cause. So the difference to some extent, from Ukraine and From Israel, is saying the quiet part out loud and of course. That Russia can fight back.
It proves there's a difference between a war and a genocide, with said genocide being complementary to settler colonialism too.
