The USA does not determine who wins the Nobel prizes.
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAH you really think that?
The USA are the one imposing their diplomatic narrative.
Doyou have any idea how the award recipient is chosen?
Are you seriously suggesting that Noble Peace awards are beyond influence and corruption.
The criticism of the process of choosing candidates is widely regarded because it is obscured and otherwise secret in nature.
Not to mention sometimes they fuck up. It is may not even be their fault, as they can't control a person's actions before of after the prize is given.
Prove it then. Offer up the material proof of the USA directly determining a winner or maybe consider that we do know who chooses the winners and it is former winners. The US government isnt going to have much sway.
Prove what. That they can be corrupt and make bad picks.
The US could or could not have sway. I am not suggesting they do, just saying it could be done.
I believe former winners nominate people, the actual decisions are made by a five member Norwegian Nobel Committee.
But it is such a useless statement? Everything could be influenced by something or someone.
KatManDoo obviously sees the peace price committee as a puppet show played by the US. This is obviously not the case and stating 'but they could add pressure, theoretically, maybe, possibly' is not adding anything else but realism conspiracies
For sure it is, but when the committee is picking someone only a Neo Liberal would you start seeing the magic of the Nobel Peace Prize slip away.
Not only could they be influenced it is apparent that they are also not immune to the pervasive influence of capitalists regardless of their actual intentions.
My reaction is basically, let's get real. They are not beyond corruption. That is all I am getting at. I am not trying to prove a conspiracy, because there is no need to.
The Nobel Peace Prize committee makes shitty picks like when they gave the award to Obama who then proceeded to bomb the shit out of the Middle East.
So yeah, there is definitely a reason to be critical of them.
