Two series that I found this past week. Thanks to @PrincessKadath@ani.social for introducing me to this first series this past week.
Yeah...it's a mouthful, and that is just the English title. The premise is just about as silly as it sounds. If you have read/watched as much isekai trash as I have, it hardly will feel original. While, yes, it is a silly power fantasy full of tropes and predictable scenes, it manages to keep enough heart in the story and characters to keep it feeling fun and engaging. In particular, this MC might be OP, but not nearly as OP as his pet cat that is also isekai'ed with him.
I have admitted to being a huge fan of The Eminence in Shadow in the past, and this series is very obviously inspired by TEIS. Basically, imagine if Cid's secret identity as Shadow is revealed in chapter 1, and the rest of the world has to adapt to the knowledge that this previously non-noteworthy noble is actually the most powerful being in existence. I have enjoyed this series so far (a couple chapters in), but I do think that this illustrates why Cid's complete ignorance to the events in the world around him are so necessary to making TEIS work. Phil, the MC in this series, gets super invested in people around him and others use those relationships to try to manipulate him. It's the exact kind of thing that Cid would hate.
