Hello fellow Calvin and Hobbes fans!
About this community and how I post the comic strip… The comics are posted in chronological order on the day (usually) they were released. Posting them to match the release date adds a bit of fun and nostalgia to match the experience of reading them in the newspaper for first time. Many moons ago, I would ask my Dad to save the newspaper for me everyday so I could read my favorite comic strips. It really sucked when I missed a day. Only years later, when I got the books was I able to catch up on the missed strips.

Was that the end, the last ever Calvin and Hobbes?
According to Wikipedia it was syndicated from November 18, 1985, to December 31, 1995.
Bill Watterson took two sabbaticals from the daily requirements of producing the strip. The first took place from May 5, 1991, to February 1, 1992, and the second from April 3 through December 31, 1994. These sabbaticals were included in the new contract Watterson managed to negotiate with Universal Features in 1990. The sabbaticals were proposed by the syndicate themselves, who, fearing Watterson's complete burnout, endeavored to get another five years of work from their star artist.

Me too, but now that you guys just mentioned it went to it and found out that its mantainer, @MentalEdge@sopuli.xyz, seems pretty much active. I'd like to think something about the bot happened, but I can't help but fear something like the fate of r/calvinandhobbes repeated here somehow
Oh shit. Ya'll need to ping me if it stops working. It's happened a couple times before due to changes over on gocomics.
