Many computers can get Win11 just by plugging in the $18 TPM chip to their motherboards, regardless of what windows update says.
There are a few protocols to push Win11 onto computers with unsupported CPUs, or without TPMs.
I've updated 6 computers that "failed" meet minimal requirements.
This is a massive scam to send 400 million perfectly good computers to landfills.
Unfortunately, if you use either of these methods to install Windows 11, you will wind up with Windows 11. You will eventually regret it.
It does however mean that you can get a lot of used computers really really cheap right now
Companies are discarding pallets of them. Massive waste.
We need to rescue them
Any recommendation for specific models to look out for?
My wife got a used corpo laptop for under $100
Congrats, thats nice
Might be good to get em before all the tarrifs make computing more expensive. At least in the US.
