Well, there's one facet. It seems that there are plenty more that would keep someone not allowed to work from working, especially for the police. Hell, I've been barred from working for not bringing in updated paperwork that was required every 3 years.
My knee jerk reaction is that this person is on the police force, they are obviously allowed to be in, and work in, the US. I'm just trying to get a better understanding.
