Newsflash: businesses don't operate in a vacuum no matter how much one whining man wants them to. Part of running a business is paying attention to how current events affect your operations and working proactively and flexibly to keep things running.

It's as if the business owners who voted for not-this-guy knew that his election would be bad for their businesses and didn't want it to happen!
