Depending on your career, you can either learn slowly or quickly that a large chunk of the population is simply unredeemable and will reflexively lie to survive. The other chunk is simply incapable of admitting they’ve been had, or is so bitter they convince themselves the boat isn’t sinking. You are one of trillions of NPC in the minds of these individuals and seen as nothing more than a resource to burn through. We’ve been trained to worship fame, bright shiny lights and blunt assholery. It’s too late to do anything about the future at this point, but at the very least we can stop this madness. My votes for corralling the wealthy and turning them into human centipedes. Whose with me?
