the allies that are afraid of us invading them

Nobody was afraid of Russia invading them. Which is why nobody wanted to join NATO, including Ukraine. Which is why the USA overthrew Ukraine's democracy and made it a puppet state.

The war was provoked by NATO aggression, it's been a huge success for the US, not so much for anyone else, including its " allies".
