Is there a simple name that is a good catch-all? Preferably one that's two syllables? Lemmy is such a simple name, much like Reddit or Twitter. Fediverse and threadiverse i feel just complicate it all
most people call it fedi
Saying fedi normally includes things like mastodon, peertube, Pixelfed, etc. It doesn’t really convey that someone is specifically talking about the federated Reddit alternatives.
fair, but they are all part of the same network. I'm not using lemmy, kbin or mastodon. but I can still send messages here
Fedi isn't too bad either. Is there not anything else that goes by that name though?
Not that I'm aware of. I think it's just short for fediverse
