I ask myself this alot, and I'd be curious to know the "truth" as well. But from what I can gather, Kim Jong-nam was a stooge and a traitor, selling secrets and clandestinely meeting with the CIA
So he may very well have been assassinated by the DPRK?
I see no reason to doubt that, or at least that part of the story.
I just wasn't sure, because we learned about it during all the Juche necromancy stuff, so I couldn't tell what was really happening, lol
