MODERATORS
I’ve tried widgets in some other apps, like reddit, news etc, but I never really found them that useful. Maybe those widgets sucked, maybe they just weren’t meant for someone like me, or maybe there’s something I’m missing here. Either way, I’m really curious about what would you do with widgets in this case?
I like having a quick view at new/latest from subs I'm subscribed to. Attached is an example pic of a widget for Mastodon. This way I don't have to open the app and scroll. I can see right on my home screen if there's something I'd like to click. Would love this for Lemmy/Kbin too with Bean.
Ok. Makes sense. It appears that I’m just not using my phone that way. Quickly checking something like that every now and then would be distracting to me, so I prefer to reduce the number of distractions available to me.
