MODERATORS
Neither does PSOE, by itself. No party has over half of the seats therefore there should be reelections.
Democracy is built on compromise and consensus. Even within a single party, members and representatives must negotiate a consensus about what positions and policies they want to pursue. To say that consensus building within a party is acceptable but between parties is not (which is effectively what you are doing here) is completely arbitrary and doesn't make sense.
PSOE has done a coalition with multiple parties including the catalan seperatists and bildu which contains members formerly a part of ETA instead of with PP, because if they do a coalition with PP then Sanchez wouldn't be the president. Besides, I don't think Junts per fucking Catalunya is representative of the Spanish?
And the PP founders ( formerly alianza popular) were all ministers of the previously regime (fascists dictatorship). And yes, JUNTS and ERC are representative of Catalonia, equal PNV and EH bildu for Basque country.
They are more representative for the spanish people than junts or pnv or eh bildu ever will be, for better or for worse.
Except for, you know, the fact that Spaniards voted for them.
Junts, ERC, Bildu, PNV combined have 25 seats combined. PP has 137.
Because in the majorities of regions of Spain there is only PP, PSOE, VOX or SUMAR. The more parties and options the better, they will have to make more effort to reach agreements and the more fair and representative they will be. What you advocate for absolute majorities of a single party is like a 4-year dictatorship.
Because... those are the parties they vote for...?
