Welcome to /c/Gay - Your LGBTQ+ Haven
We're more than just a community; we're your haven for celebrating LGBTQ+ culture and connecting with like-minded individuals.
Our Partnered Discord Server: GayWave
Community Rules:
~ 1. No bigotry. Hating someone off of their race, culture, creed, sexuality, or identity is not remotely acceptable. Mistakes can happen but do your best to respect others.
~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person. This includes speculating about someones sexuality, no matter how "obvious" it may be.
~ 4. Keep it LGBTQ+ related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.
~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love posts but 3-4 in an hour is plenty enough.
~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.
~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon' and fuck over our artist friends.

Wow. So much for the lemmy community here.
The only opinion I'm giving is respect others regardless of how anyone feels on the matter. And that still stands. I'm not giving any opinion on lgbtq+.
But all these comments about "hitting others" and name calling is the complete opposite of respect. If someone has a view that you don't agree with then talk, or say OK and leave the conversation.
Don't read too deep and make assumptions with my comments. My intentions are true, I just want a global community of respect.
Ladies and Gentlemens, the tolerance paradox hard at work.
At what point can we stop both sidesing everything? Is it when trans people are banned from public spaces? Is it when they're rounded up and put into camps to be converted back? At what point are opinions no longer valid to you? Because clearly wiping out an entire sector of people isn't that line.
Go read some history about fascism and come back when you're educated.
Some opinions are simply not worthy of respect. Like the opinion that there are two sides when it comes to someone's identity. Or that one race is superior to another.
It's centrists like you that aren't wanted on Lemmy. Reddit loves Nazis and transphobes, why don't you give that site a try, you'd fit right in.
Keep Lemmy Weird
So LGBT people should just let themselves be disrespected and not do anything about it? That's basically what you're saying here because the people they are disrespecting have already disrespected them.
I too didn't get enough love from my parents so must say inflammatory things on Internet forums to get strangers to argue with me to fill the hole in my heart.
