Hey r/selfhosted community!

โ€‹

I'm thrilled to introduce a new Home Assistant add-on: Homarr Server. This add-on is crafted for those who are running Home Assistant and looking for a straightforward way to self-host additional services directly on their HA server โ€“ without the need for separate hosting hardware.

โ€‹

๐Ÿ‘‰What is Homarr Server?

Homarr Server is an add-on for Home Assistant that allows you to host the Homarr dashboard directly on your Home Assistant server. It's perfect for users who want to keep their self-hosted ecosystem centralized and don't have the luxury of dedicated hosting hardware. I realize that this is probably not for everyone here, but for some it might seem useful.

โ€‹

๐Ÿ Why Homarr Server?

So I got this request from someone who didn't really have anywhere else to host it locally and was wondering if it was able to use their HA instance to host it.

โ€‹

๐Ÿš€Easy Setup:

Homarr Server is designed for ease of use. Simply add the repo to your Home Assistant instance, install the add-on, start the add-on, and access your Homarr dashboard at the provided URL. It's that straightforward!

Your feedback, thoughts, and experiences are much appreciated, as they will help in refining and improving the add-on.

P.S. A heartfelt thank you to the r/selfhosted community for being a constant source of inspiration!

Does a dashboard exist which will scan your given IP space and detect what services you're running? I can't possibly configure a hundred service entries.

For monitoring? I can suggest Uptime Kuma in that case.

It is but it can't do auto-detection of running services unfortunately
