Why do nazis love flaming torches so much? They're a very dangerous and impractical thing to bring to a demonstration. Do they use they because they know the cops will never stop them and so don't need to worry about that sort of thing?
Cuz it looked cool in Triumph of the Will and the alternative ways of looking cool on a parade take a shit ton of training and discipline and coordination that they can't pull off.
We need another Mel Brooks "The Producers" style play that makes fun of these goons and how goofy they look when they're trying to be cool.
Probably feudal times, when heretics and rebellious women were burnt at the stake.
In addition to other comments, they probably have some feeling that it intimidates potential protestors to be carrying a flaming stick.
Maybe they are also going for causing a variation of the "suspension bridge effect" in their followers to be carrying and surrounded by dangerous objects.
Would make sense that these Cro-magnon brains think that people are scared of fire.
At least they're not tiki torches from walmart this time.
