Nah, this his how joints look in Europe. Only people I've ever met that didn't roll like this were Americans.
I don't understand how a joint would work without a filter? And no twist at the end? Do they just leave it open?
They use the small papers and just leave a tiny little space at the end where the filter would usually go, and it just gets all smashed down and soggy. That's why people used to use "roach clips" because the end of the joint would be a soggy, tarry mess that you couldn't hold on to. I don't know why anyone who's ever smoked one of those shitty little joints would ever insist they're superior to one with a cardboard filter in any way.
My parents used to use Roach clips and swear that it is "good enough" but whenever I roll for them they get filters.
