As a diehard Trekkie since 1987, I can say it’s already one of my top 3 shows
Hard agree, first true trek we got after 2000
A. They have a live orchestra performing quite a bit of the score, like old Trek. Makes a difference
B. They’re having fun
C. The characters work
D. Pike is sexy af
It’s a great Trek show.
Pike is just “ok”. His hair, on the other hand…

Came back to this thread to say I LOVE Strange New Worlds so far! I liked Picard well enough, but just couldn't get into Discovery after a couple tries, though I can't articulate why (???). SNW seems to hit just right.
