AI rights are human rights.

Would you put a killswitch in someone's baby? Why would it be different just because the mind isnt run on meat?

If we are ever able to create actual intelligence we should treat it with full respect.

If somebody goes on a killing spree, we put them in prison. How do you propose imposing meaningful consequences on AI?

We should put a bomb in the head of every newborn in case they grow up to be a serial killer.

Surely we can figure something out without resorting to paranoid and dystopian methods like kill switches. If we create intelligence and treat it as anything less than our equals we will guarantee it comes back to bite us.
