Well, it's a plain, white dinner plate with no obvious lip but rather a shallow curve from the bowl to the rim. Looks mass-produced and fairly cheap. Some scratch marks are visible, making me wonder if it's actually a reusable plastic plate rather than ceramic.

True but it does have a sort of utilitarian functional beauty.
