One underappreciated feature of more high-end headphones is also the comfort. The 40€ over ear headphones I had didn't sound all that bad in my opinion but jesus christ the Meze 99 Noirs I have now are on a whole different level when it comes to comfort. However I don't think I could tell any difference between those and ones that cost 400€ or more.
