[HELP] Updates stalling in desktop mode

A place to discuss and support all things Steam Deck.
Replacement for r/steamdeck_linux.
As Lemmy doesn't have flairs yet, you can use these prefixes to indicate what type of post you have made, eg:
[Flair] My post title
The following is a list of suggested flairs:
[Discussion] - General discussion.
[Help] - A request for help or support.
[News] - News about the deck.
[PSA] - Sharing important information.
[Game] - News / info about a game on the deck.
[Update] - An update to a previous post.
[Meta] - Discussion about this community.
Some more Steam Deck specific flairs:
[Boot Screen] - Custom boot screens/videos.
[Selling] - If you are selling your deck.
These are not enforced, but they are encouraged.
Rules:
All the Linux updates, not the game updates. I don't know if they're all flatpak, but I have tons of them waiting to update
They should be, the Steam Deck updates system components separately through steam.
As a diagnostic step, you might wanna run
flatpak update
in a new Konsole window to see if there are any errors that Discover might not be telling you about.SteamOS updates can also be done by Discover now. But I would assume his problem is the flatpak updates.
To fix flatpak issues, there is a
flatpak repair
command.
