This seems like a decent place to ask-
I'm looking for two main things, can anyone advise if any of these apps can do both of these things:
For context I'm coming from Joey. Essentially, I'd like the post view or view with comments as my usual and I swipe to go to the next post. And when I go back to the list view of all posts, no "read" posts I've visited are there. And of course this carries through multiple sessions.
Is there an android client like this?
Edit: Infinity seems to work exactly how I want, after tweaking the settings a bit.
Sync for reddit had a swipe mode that u can toggle on, I believe it does what u described. Not really sure if it's included/planned to be included in sync for lemmy though tbh
Thanks, I'll look for that setting now and on future updates. Maybe Sync is right for me after all (or, will be?)
Jerboa seems to be very similar to Joey as far as the graphic UI. Its a little different functionally unfortunately, the UIX is different.
I was using that for a bit, before I got comfortable with Connect. I should try Jerboa again, it definitely has a"joey like"feel to it. Thanks for reminding me about it!
Hi there!
Fellow former Joey user here. Right now I can't find either of the two options you described. However, with this app I could tailor the interface very close to my Joey experience.
A couple examples. Very few apps have the option to not hide parent when collapsing a comment (I prefer to hide all the children while keeping the parent visible), and Sync can do this. More importantly for me, you can peek at media content. With Joey you could peek at everything, so it was much better, but it's something.
I still hope that some day a wild codesForLiving appears here with their new Lemmy app. Until this hope dies, I'm not committing to any other app fully.
For now I've settled on Infinity which seems to work exactly how I want, after tweaking the settings a bit.
