Not hating on open source, just let people use what fits their expectations and needs and stop deterring them with gatekeeping :P

That's true that that's the case but when that does happen foss alternatives will still be there. Just like they're here now. I just prefer apps that have a good UX
Yes, the probably of that client, sucking all the air out of the room for alternatives, is very low
