Scrubbed window down with alcohol wipes. I’m going to use neat vinegar on the painted sill because I am not colour matching gloss paint to fix it if it goes gummy. I have it open for a short time but this is a window where I can’t safely leave it or the blind open.

Avoiding the mending hamper…

Get a damp cloth and sprinkle some clove oil on it and wipe down where you've already wiped. And then wait. It will probably work.
