At ERCOT's request, the Biden administration declared a power emergency in Texas on Thursday, waiving some air-pollution rules so generators in the state could produce more electricity.

porky-happy Yeehaw! The more we pollute, the worse the heat will get, which will drive even more ludicrous demand, so we can pollute more, so the heat will get worse, so the demand will get even more ludicrous, so we can pollute more, etc.

I love living here but the Texas state government is a joke. ERCOT should have been told to get fucked. Why would things get fixed when it doesn’t seem to matter?

I'm really happy i was able to get out of there. That storm in 2021 and the shot with the grid was it for me.
