I have a print that requires a smooth surface, I've already printed it at high resolution so it's as smooth as the printer can handle, but I need it smoother. I know dry sanding is fine, but I also know PLA can absorb moisture. Is it wise to wet sand?

This is for the neck of a functional violin, I'm wanting to make sure that wet sanding won't have a negative effect on the rigidity of the neck. This is literally the most appropriate sub to ask such a question.
