Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver Remaster Leak Brings Excitement and Speculation

The remasters of the iconic games, Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2, have been leaked days ahead of their official announcement, setting a release date of December 10th, 2024.

Key Points From the Remaster Release

  • Developed by Aspyr in collaboration with Crystal Dynamics,
  • Players will enjoy both the original graphics and enhanced visuals,
  • Coincides with the series' 25th anniversary,
  • The remastered edition includes both Soul Reaver 1 & Soul Reaver 2, originally launched in 1999 & 2001 respectively.

Platform Availability and Rumors

Current information specifies PlayStation platforms but there's speculation about its availability on PC, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch as well. The official announcement is expected to happen during Sony’s State of Play event.

If they update the controls I'm in 100%. Soul Reaver 1 controls always grate on me.

Okay, now this, I'm hyped for. SR1 and 2 both are pretty dear to me, so these are phenomenal news! This year is strong on reviving my old favourites - first BGE 20th anniversary (it's wonderfully done), now this. I do hope they add some new content similarly how BGE did - something that expands on, rather than changes the original game. Now the wait begins, 2 months is nothing!
