In fairness to Trump (I just threw up in my mouth a little saying that), the pandemic did start in his final year in office.

But also, I don’t think the response could have been handled more ineptly.

Remember how he behaved during the start and through the end of his term while COVID raged around the world? He is absolutely responsible for what happened. Economic policies save jobs and his time in office was toxic by literally every metric.

It would have been better for him to have done absolutely nothing. All he had to do was step aside and let the professionals do their jobs.
