This was apparently done by Jeff Bezos because he's worried that endorsing Harris will cause Trump to cut off AWS's government contracts

Ian Bassin, a democracy expert, calls these moves “anticipatory obedience”: fear by owners that if Trump wins he could take vengeance on companies that cross him.

The editorial standards have steadily declined since he took over. IMO there isn't a decent US paper left. They all get thier factual stuff from the AP anyway, fuck the post and both times

Not exactly the most mainstream, but ProPublica strikes me as pretty solid. I'd encourage anyone cancelling their Post subscription to donate monthly to them instead - journalism needs funding.
