Absol does really well against them cause of it's Dark-typing and high Attack stat. Though I imagine any Dark type would work as well.

Go north of mossdeep, to shoal cave, and get an ice mon, go back to Lilycove get the blizzard tm. Get a couple x accuracies and you should be all set. Note, you may need to level up the ice mon you catch.

Yea, good point, earthquake is what hurts my team.
Even if it dies to a flamethrower. Its still better than some fighting type
