How to live rent free:

Step 1: Commit at least 34 felonies

Step 2: ???

Step 3: Squatting in an oval-shaped office?

Un-Fun fact, that's 32 more than the historic average for folks who have held that job.

And I heard the average was affected a lot by an outlier.

He won't even live there, just like last time. He'll go to his hotel and charge us, the US taxpayers, a million dollars per day for rooms for him and his staff.

Only works if you’re born rich and white. Otherwise you go to jail or get shot after a few crimes

rich and white

Counterpoint, supreme court justice thomas clarance (or however you spell the fucker's name)

not exactly oval-office, but nonetheless a high level position

My soul? Shit, I already gave that up to our corporate overlords. Best I can afford is the $12.71 they gave my wife when I died.

Careful hell is also filled with landlords.

What about reckless hell?

You can live with me on a ranch. You just have to go to my weird religious services and do all the work without pay. It's super worth it. /s

I can't believe a miss the fucking office.

You have more fun as a follower but you make more money as a leader.

No, you don't get to live forever in hell. Jesus said the only way to live forever is to be forgiven for your sins.

And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life.

Priests who say that sinners get to live forever in hell are lying. Drag isn't a christian, but drag knows Jesus didn't promise eternal life to sinners who don't repent. There's no such thing as eternal torture in the Bible. It was made up by lying priests to scare people who weren't afraid of nonexistence. According to the Bible, what awaits sinners is nonexistence; death. They only changed it to scare people who didn't mind dying.

Look, hell is fiction whichever way you take it.

[-] dragonfucker@lemmy.nz 5 points 1 month ago

Fiction is still important and getting it right is important. Look what happened when a bunch of gamers misunderstood the Matrix - they suddenly started bragging about taking estrogen pills as a euphemism for misogyny. It's weird!

You'll get your rent when you fix this damn door!

no more room in hell

spoiler[Verse 1]
She's got oxblood boots and a carney's laugh
A silver spoon with a razor's edge
Veins as fine as rabbit hair
Her blood runs cold as gravel in there
She wears a derby hat and a black pea coat
Stands on the stern of a cap-sized boat
In a world washed a-flood with sin
She cries out through a fang-lined grin

[Chorus]
There's no more room in hell, boys
No more room in hell
Ain't a plot of ground to keep a dead man down
There's no more room in hell
There's no more room in hell, boys
No more room in hell
Our souls we keep where the devil sleeps
But there's no more room in hell

[Verse 2]
We paddled across a sea of ash
Sweat and blood and outstretched hands
My eyes met with others there
Some were strangers' others friends'
Drowned others just to reach that boat
Our savior in the black pea coat
Her marrow-fair hand wrung my wrist
Leaned to an ear and whispered this

[Chorus]
There's no more room in hell, boys
No more room in hell
Ain't a plot of ground to keep a dead man down
There's no more room in hell
There's no more room in hell, boys
No more room in hell
Our souls we keep where the devil sleeps
But there's no more room in hell
