Doesn't that require you phone number?
Yes, but you don't have to share it, and I guess if you're already using Telegram for other reasons or to get updates on the war it's the same, plus there are telegram/matrix bridges, if that's something you'd worry about.
What would be the advantage in comparison to just posting them in a news community here on Lemmy?
On Telegram you don't get "news" in the sense of articles like what you see on world news. You get short messages with photos and videos updated by the minute, when do bombings start, operations being carried out. For example when the whole Prigozhin thing happened, I was constantly being updated while the mainstream media released articles hours after some important thing I already knew.

This is a Dengist community in favor of Bashar al-Assad with no information that can lead to the arrest of Hillary Clinton, our fellow liberal and queen. This community is not ironic. We are Marxists-Leninists.
This community is for posts about Marxism and geopolitics (including shitposts to some extent). Serious posts can be posted here or in /c/GenZhou. Reactionary or ultra-leftist cringe posts belong in /c/shitreactionariessay or /c/shitultrassay respectively.
We have a Matrix homeserver and a Matrix space. See this thread for more information. If you believe the server may be down, check the status on status.elara.ws.
