Don't know if the breed is correct in English. But it's a straight translation from Finnish. She is called Tiltu and she came to us as a sort of a rescue dog. Originally the breed is for hunting but not with us. EDIT: picture taken by my daughter https://www.instagram.com/alisas__photos

Tiltu looks like great fun and mischief is to be had.

Also… like an expert lapdog. (Even if she really is too big. Could give Great Danes lessons.)

Edit: I think in need a banana for scale… did a quick image search and either they’re absolute units or… relatively small.

She is not from the biggest end, that's for sure. She weights about 24 kg but that is enough when she wants to cuddle. Although the breed is originally for hunting, this particular individual is a perfect lap dog

Well, please do me a big favor and let her be a lapdog- and maybe give a few of her favorite skritches.

she deserves it!

She is. And full of love. More than any dog we have ever had

The Beardog! Great pic. Looks slightly crazy yet cute and cuddly. What an interesting breed that I did not know about.

P.S. I am curious to know some of (if any) the most popular Finnish names for dogs?

If you mean the names we call our dogs, I found an article (in Finnish but bet you can find the list)
