Reminder that Hamas rose to power with the backing of Israel as a counterweight to popular secular left wing parties in Palestine. The Hamas that exists now is far from what it was then and is not the anti-Semitic boogieman they created, but rather a larger popular front that has liberalized in some ways to the point that they are conducting the current defense against the Zionist entity as a united front with the left.

This is a thread full of videos and proof of how Hamas actually treats Israeli captives.

In one case their doctors even performed surgery on a wounded Israeli, in other instances they are shown protecting them from gunfire from Israeli soldiers, in others they are seen taking care of children, and in many posing for pictures with the elderly, one specific picture shows and elderly lady with a Palestinian fighters gun in her lap while she smiles and they both wave piece signs.

This fight is not as complicated as western media is trying to make it out to be.

Not sure if you remember or heard but thousands of civilians were killed by Hamas a few days, including many who would probably march for peace with Palestine, children and old people. Hamas are not the good guys and it's definitely complicated.

This is only outrageous if you don't consider the lives of thousands more Palestinians as worth as much. Isreal has already far exceeded that number in Gazan families shredded by bombs and crushed by rubble. I wonder why western news doesn't talk about them?

The Israeli plight is constantly talked about and the Palestinians are constantly demonized. How about you step back for a second and examine why you are so upset NOW at THIS incident, when far worse has been done to Palestinians for over 70 years.
