Normally, I’d be against blocking a transition to for-profit, but if Fuhrer Edison is on the other side, it’s easy to assume bad things happen if he gets his way. He’s a cartoon villain at this point.

Is because Musk is a direct competitor.

[–] N0body@lemmy.dbzer0.com 17 points 1 month ago

And potential buyer.

Fuhrer Edison is a name that should be used in everyone's lexicon.

Musk wants to block it, so being against blocking it is the opposite of what he wants.

The polarity of evil has flipped so far that you can’t escape. Now anything good Musk does becomes bad in your view. Musk switches the polarity of the thing, rather than the other way around.

Musk kisses a puppy, you unfortunately must now hate puppies. Such a strong statement.

I know Musk's motives are entirely selfish here, but anything that messes with "open"AI is good.

OpenAI is getting in its own way even without Elon. San Altman is promising wayyyyy more than what AI can currently (or maybe ever) do.

It's a house of cards

open AI is no friend either, they also are in cahoots with reddit, and by extension google.

Probably not. Anthropic is a direct competitor.

Can the HGH he's clearly taking without exercising enlarge his heart already and kill him, please?

"Rejected on the account that you're a hypocrite. And that's just scratching the surface."

L + Bozo, should’ve focused on making Grok actually comparable to recent models instead of role-playing as a supervillain in the White House.

[–] theneverfox@pawb.social 11 points 1 month ago

The most effective thing he could do to help grok... Or really anything he "does"... Succeed is to be as far as possible from them

If he fucked off to a desert island never to return, they'd all probably improve drastically. He has the Trump touch, anything he touches turns to shit

That being said, I wish he won here. I encourage billionaires to be spiteful to one another, and honestly this seems like it should be illegal anyways

There's a timeline where I'm not automatically alarmed by something just because Elon supports it.

This isn't that timeline. Where's the grift?
