- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

The price of tarrifs have now been passed onto the American people by local businesses.

Wait you mean the thing everybody with more than two brain cells to rub together has been saying since Trump started talking about tariffs? No way!
Once again the entirely predictable outcome has come to pass and MAGA are shocked that reality continues to ignore their fervent delusions.
This would concern me if I used Amazon
It should concern you because Amazon basically sets prices for your local markets.
Oh well, fuck Amazon.
Will Donald Dipshit Duck accidentally decimate the drop-shipping scene? That would actually be kind of solid if he has a fatal heart attack right afterwards.

so where are we at? what are the tarrifs? Its like everyday its new numbers.
I purchase many components directly from China for business purposes (Engineering R&D, machinery, etc). Just received an item last week with an $1100 purchase price. The import duty we paid on that single item was $2100. It doesn't really quite sink in until you sign the actual bill.
I had a machine redirected to an alternative facility in another country because the import duty was around $26K for a $13K piece of equipment. There is no alternative supplier in either case. Unless you want to spend $300K for a custom one off build.
