Finally home!!!

@Duenan@aussie.zone Ive got the game you've been playing! I've avoided any spoilers.

Also guitar and cat!

[–] SpinMeAround@aussie.zone 5 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

I cannot wait to hear what you think of the game!!

That trailer was insane!

[–] Duenan@aussie.zone 3 points 11 hours ago* (last edited 11 hours ago) (2 children)

I’ve been such a bad influence on a few people here.

It’s such a good game and the soundtrack is amazing as well to go along with it.

Probably best to avoid my videos.

The early ones I have are from optional bosses but there are some story ones mixed into my channel now.

Let me know if you need any pointers.

It’s a wild ride.

Edit: Kitty!!!

[–] SpinMeAround@aussie.zone 3 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

I'm 7 hours in and utterly obsessed. It's such a beautiful game!

[–] Duenan@aussie.zone 2 points 10 hours ago

I got to you too!

The combination of everything really makes the game special.

I'm thinking I'll wait till tomorrow night because I won't be super tired.

All I saw was the trailer and I was hooked! Bought it as soon as I could.

Hell yeah!!!!!!

[–] imoldgreeeg@aussie.zone 9 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

Was tired but had meal with a friend who invited another person because she figured we would get on. We did. New friend? It's nice. I am not good with understanding that people might like me. Even when we have demonstrably been mates for decades. But I try. It's nice to be rewarded with a good night out and no anxiety.

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 3 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

Why wouldn't people like you?

You are smart and funny and kind and interesting . πŸ«‚πŸ˜˜

[–] imoldgreeeg@aussie.zone 7 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

Thank you. It's a thing that is a bit broken in my mind. I know objectively that I am loved but I just have to physically remind myself. Like 'why does this person sound excited to catch up?'... Oh yeah because they are my friend. I have no trouble feeling friendship towards others...? Just a broken connection somewhere.

I really appreciate that I can share this stuff here. It helps. A lot

[–] SpinMeAround@aussie.zone 4 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

This is a safe space! And your thoughts resonated with me a lot. It's hard to believe anyone "likes" me, but at the same time... I'm awesome? It's a weird thing.

I can see three ringtails frolicking in the tree outside my window.

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 4 points 11 hours ago

aww 😍

My kid is going for her driver"s licence on her birthday on Thursday. It's gonna be a good day or an even better day. πŸ™‚

[–] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 3 points 13 hours ago

Yeah. She has a professional lesson tomorrow then we'll book her into this. Thanks.

[–] Gibsonhasafluffybutt@aussie.zone 7 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

Left the house at 5pm to organise a medical thing. Will not be home till 9pm.

I just want to zonk out with cheesecake and cat.

Very soon.

[–] SpinMeAround@aussie.zone 2 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

Hope you're zonked now... what kinda cheesecake?

Thankfully I got home at 9.

Im cheap so I bought the marble cheesecake squares from Coles.

Next week I'm grabbing a cake from cheesecake factory or whatever it's called here.

Mmmmm cheesecake!

wanker customerCustomer: I was going camping and we found the security tags on these clothes, but we lost the receipt.

Me: sorry, I can't take it off without a proof of purchase. I know it's frustrating.

Customer gets aggro

Customer: you don't sound very sympathetic, I can tell from your voice

Me: sorry if it came across that way, it wasn't my intention to come across like that

Customer: says nothing your team should be doing a better job and looking out for the tags

Me: I'm sorry about that. it's not even my fault Everyone who gets the security tags taken off needs a proof of purchase.

Her: what, you think I'm stealing?

Customer eventually shows a couple of bank transaction and I just take them off.

I'm just questioning if my tone of voice is shitty and not sympathetic enough. I asked a colleague, and she said I'm impossible to get mad at. So maybe the customer took it the wrong way.

Now I brush it off and serve more customers. Yay.

[–] PeelerSheila@aussie.zone 5 points 11 hours ago

I agree with Gibson. Why not just show the bank transactions first? Because they wanted to get shitty at someone.

[–] Gibsonhasafluffybutt@aussie.zone 5 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

Fuck them. If they had half a brain they would have offered the bank transactions first.

You're all good :)

[–] LowExperience2368@aussie.zone 2 points 10 hours ago

Thanks man :)

[–] SpinMeAround@aussie.zone 3 points 10 hours ago

Some people just wanna be mad, good on you for standing your ground!

[–] RustyRaven@aussie.zone 6 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

That was a loooooong drive home.

The GPS told me traffic was really bad on my route, but assured me if I followed the new route it had calculated I would be home before 7. I decided to trust it, and ended up going through a bunch of places I did not recognise (Ascot Vale and Travencore included). Once I was on that route the GPS informed me that traffic was actually bad that way too and there was no way I was getting home before 7.

When I did finally get home there were packages waiting though - Miss Meow's tree cat scratcher and the leaf shaped mats for the garden themed corner, Mr Woof's new fluffy grey rugs for the front bedroom, and the big rug for the lounge. The big rug looks nicer than I was expecting and is very soft.

I can't wait for your Ballarat shop recommendations. Mine are Aussie disposals, Beechworth bakery, Myer.

I like how one of the kittens has a little moustache.

[–] just_kitten@aussie.zone 3 points 12 hours ago

Parental advisory: excellent content

[–] Gibsonhasafluffybutt@aussie.zone 6 points 15 hours ago* (last edited 15 hours ago)

Dude that's a damn good point!!! Hahaha

While I'm here: the H90 continues to impress. It's an endless box of inspiration man. Im going through each algo, one by one. And each algo has say, 10 presets and there's 60+ algos.

That's not taking into account mixing 2 together. Only shame is that I would have loved a 3rd effect slot. But it has fairly quick program change so that helps.

Hours and hours of playing!

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 5 points 15 hours ago

they are truly lovely cats

[–] tombruzzo@aussie.zone 3 points 12 hours ago

I accidentally deleted an entire Facebook campaign at work today. I recreated it but it was just more time and panic.

The ads section of Facebook has such a terrible interface. It's so clunky and confusing. You'd think that would be the one good part given it's how they make their money

[–] LowExperience2368@aussie.zone 9 points 16 hours ago (3 children)

I am missing three out of four lip balms. I have accumulated that many because I bought one, then my mum bought a pack of three and gave me two, then the other one was because the first one was running out. I hope they're in a pocket somewhere, because it's driving me a bit insane.

Anyway, happy Friday! Cheers 🍻

[–] underwatermagpies@aussie.zone 7 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

They'll be in that bag you haven't used for a couple of months.

If I don't have a lip balm on me when out and about my day is ruined.

Cheers 🍺

[–] Eagle@aussie.zone 5 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

I can't cope if I lose a lip balm. They all have their type and place.

I just learned something new.

[–] tone212_@aussie.zone 9 points 17 hours ago

I had a follower on my afternoon walk. Always give her pets when I see her but it’s never enough, follows me down the street demanding more.

[–] RustyRaven@aussie.zone 10 points 17 hours ago* (last edited 17 hours ago) (3 children)

I have bed!

That took a lot more work putting together than anticipated, and I still have to screw down the slats. I'm happy with how it looks though. I don't think I've got enough enthusiasm left to start on the side tables today, I might have a start on the dining table and cat trees instead.

I still don't have any power. Hopefully it will be done soon, I'd like to have it on before I leave.

Edit: I also have dining chairs and a hanging light to go over the table. I don't have the table yet, so I made the footstool fill in 🀣

Hard rubbish down here tomorrow. Guy next door has a kiddy slide and I'm really tempted to take it.

Youth is wasted on the young as they say.

But honestly the amount of perfectly good stuff people chuck is wild.

So does anyone else think that the leftovers that the kids ate was actually the leftover beef, not the beef wellingtons. They talk about meat, potato and beans, nothing about pastry. I know the mushrooms were "scrapped off", but I reckon they just ate beef, not beef prepared as wellingtons.

[–] Eagle@aussie.zone 5 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

She never fed Wellington to the kids.

[–] SpinMeAround@aussie.zone 4 points 15 hours ago

Yeah, but it was phrased as the kids ate "the leftovers, but she'd scraped the mushrooms off", so it sounded like the leftover wellingtons, hence why the medical staff were scared for the kids. But what the kids are saying sounds like it was just beef.

I have house! 🏠

Still no power, but that should be connected some time today. I'll need to figure out how to light the pilot light on the water heater at some point, but's not urgent. I won't be actually moving in for a few weeks.

It is as expected a bit on the dirty side - just the expected layer of dust etc. that accumulates in an empty house. It does mean I won't have to do a perfect clean when I leave at least - but I definitely need to add window cleaning to my to do list sooner rather than later!

For afternoon fun I shall measure all the things, then assemble a bed and side tables and a couple of cat trees.

In other good news for the day, the accidental foam couch makes a quite comfortable temporary seat, so I have something to sit on before the furniture is delivered.
