It would cost me around $250, is it worth it?
Will it be able to handle it all? Would it be able to handle Jellyfin transcoding if necessary?

I'm using same CPU to run proxmox with 5 containers/VMs and about 30 docker containers.

The igpu is passed through to a VM and then a docker container running Plex and handles the job well for.my needs. Don't do any 4k.

It should do a great job. I've just finished my new build for Jellyfin (migrated from Plex). I have i3-12100 and 32GB of RAM and Jellyfin works great on it.

Its more than enough computer performance for those tasks. If it comes with a case, memory, storage, etc. It's not a bad price. It has an Intel integrated GPU with QuickSync Video which is good for Jellyfin hardware accelerated transcoding.

I have all that and a bunch more on a Wyse 5070. I loaded it all up to see if it would work. An i7 8700 has 4x the CPU power. It will work great.

The price is a bit on the high side.

Sure. It can take 64GB of RAM and few fast SSD. It has PCI slots so you can upgrade it to multi port NIC or add SAS host controller to connect to DAC.

Just add a small UPS to keep power stable in case of electricity problems.

Thanks everyone, I've went ahead and bought it. Excited to get working on my first home server!
