@ente@fosstodon.org aww I was just getting excited about your service, looking for HEVC support, and I came across your exif indexing. Exif not e2ee, huh?

[–] ente@fosstodon.org 1 points 1 month ago (1 children)

@travisfw@fosstodon.org Metadata, including EXIF is e2ee.

@ente@fosstodon.org okay, you've nearly converted me. How about HEVC, since my phone records H.265, CR2, since I've got a bunch of old raw files from my Canon, and, I dunno, might take more at a special event or something. And import from smugmug?
Even if my wishlist is anywhere on the roadmap that would be encouraging.

@travisfw@fosstodon.org Support for RAW formats is on our roadmap: https://github.com/ente-io/ente/discussions/625

You can import the data you've exported from SmugMug with our desktop app: https://help.ente.io/photos/migration/from-local-hard-disk

@ente@fosstodon.org No no, because of the eruption the phoenix was able to fly free. If someone claimed to have seen one, it would be explained by the eruption 😏

It makes me ask: did someone see something in reality that gave rise to the Phoenix myth? I think so. I've seen a few special moments I simply could not catch on camera.
Magic surrounds us, and sometimes we catch a glimpse.

@ente@fosstodon.org Ritienti fortunato ad essere quel genere di mago....
Bella, quell'eruzione. Poi ci sarebbe il passaggio a Linux....Non imminente. Per così dire.

@ente@fosstodon.org This photo is not from the current eruption but was taken in 2019 : https://xcancel.com/Lencyclopediste/status/1671897320391323649 and https://www.reddit.com/r/interestingasfuck/comments/1klh5de/comment/ms34i0d/
