1-2 years coincides with the release plan of the Fairphone, and it would fix its biggest problems, by putting a great Software manufacturers in charge of their lacking Software support

We are not working with Fairphone.
Their devices have poor security and they don't prioritize it. The engineering work is nearly entirely done for them by an ODM. They aren't capable of making a device meeting our requirements. We won't take the shortcut of using insecure devices unable to protect users properly.

Sad to hear that fairphone dosent want to/ dosent fit the security standards even with changes to the hardware, as described in the Mastodon Post announcing it
