I just don't have the record button at all! I've tried phone, tablet, laptop none show an option, not even greyed out. I just tried googling for 30 minutes and I couldn't find the settings bits suggested to me!

Sorry for being useless but I'm old and neurodiverse so this really ain't easy

Either its a paid/premium feature OR the people you are on calls with have controls in place to prevent recordibg like admin policy restrictions.

A work around is use obs. It's free and easy to setup.

This is the Microsoft Teams app but for personal use with friends, etc., right?

This may be a privacy policy that Microsoft implemented to protect people. We noticed this on the business Teams app that we can no longer start recording calls in “cold calls”, i.e. when you call someone out of the blue. We are now only allowed to start recording when we have scheduled meetings.

I've tried scheduling that doesn't work either... I can't figure it out
